Profiles of a few our volunteers:

My name is Donovan and I love to meet new people! My favourite thing in the world is "pats", however, I also love to snuggle, get groomed and dazzle an audience with my tricks. My best day of the week is the day I get to visit the Alberta Hospital. They all smile and laugh when they see me, but then I am a bit of a clown! They all say that I'm a "special" dog, but I know when I visit them, they feel special too!
Hello, my name is Kathy and this is me and my dog Allie. Allie is a 5 year old Portuguese Water Dog; she and I have been working with The Chimo Project since the Spring of 2007. I am a registered nurse and I enjoy doing animal assisted therapy on a volunteer basis. Allie has a wonderful way with people and enjoys showing off her tricks and receiving the added attention and affection she so freely gives to others.

Hi, My name is Toby and I absolutely love my volunteer role. I have several favorite toys that the patients throw to me so I can play fetch- I could play this game for hours. My favorite words are "get it", "treat", and "good boy". Volunteering has helped me, I have made great improvements in learning not to bark so much.

My name is Bailey; I am an American Cocker Spaniel. I work and live with
Lynn in Lamont, Alberta. Lynn is a Mental Health Liaison Nurse and I get
to work with her, her colleagues and her clients in helping them get better.
I can do many, many different tricks. My favorite fun thing to do is
play fetch. I love to please and working with people makes my day. In
this picture I am 8 months old and am very happy about how my working
day went.
