Children and Youth With FASD Diagnoses

Animal Assisted Therapy can be beneficial for children and youth with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). The Chimo Project has created a number of initiatives at different facilities to help these clients achieve their full potential.

Thanks to the generous support of the Alberta Ministry of Children's Services, The Chimo Project's 'In-a-box' program implementation and therapist training program is available FREE OF CHARGE to any program in Alberta that serves children/youth with FASD. If you are interested in having Animal Assisted Therapy at your facility - please contact us!

Raz works with his Chimo Certified Social Worker at CASA in Edmonton.

The Chimo Project is beginning a new research project that specifically investigates the effects of Animal Assisted Therapy on children and youth who are diagnosed with FASD.  More details to come in the Summer of 2008!!
